I only needed to hike 8.4 miles along two trails--unfortunately, both were in the middle of the Smokies. The result? 23.3 miles of hiking from 6 am to 6 pm -- some 12 hours -- all without the benefit of a lunch break. Enjoy this gallery of photos taken during our hike.
